National Foundation Challenges WV Health Right Supporters to Raise $100,000
For the first time ever, WV Health Right has been selected as a grant recipient by the Hearst Foundations, a major, national funder of “outstanding nonprofits” across the country. With this $100,000 grant, they’ve challenged our community to rise to the occasion and demonstrate our shared commitment to ensuring that all of our neighbors have access to healthcare with heart.

About West Virginia Health Right
We were founded in 1982 by a group of local physicians who recognized the need for ongoing health care among the most vulnerable members of our community. WV Health Right remains committed to the belief that every person, no matter their insurance or financial status, is entitled to quality care. We currently provide care to over 43,000 medically underserved, uninsured, and underinsured adults with free comprehensive care, and we are proud to serve patients from 34 counties across West Virginia.
We currently have six total sites: a clinic on the East End of Charleston, a clinic on the West Side, a new CommUNITY Wellness Center (attached to the West Side Clinic), a satellite clinic at Covenant House, and a mobile dental and mobile medical unit.
